Over the past decade, Indian women’s cricket has undergone a paradigm shift. They have been consistent performers in ICC tournaments and have time and again, left an indelible impression on the minds of the viewers.

The decision of the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) to introduce equal pay for men and women in Indian cricket in October 2022, therefore didn’t come as a surprise to many.

Fast bowlers have been more intimidating, menacing and have sent shivers down the spines of the opposition batters. This has been one of the major assets of the Indian women’s cricket team.

1. Jhulan Goswami (255 wickets)

Undoubtedly, a legend of our country, Jhulan Goswami is one of the best women’s cricketers of all-time. With 255 wickets under her belt, Goswami has always been a force to reckon with.

She has played 204 matches for India and had called it quits from international cricket in 2022. The cricketer from Chakdaha is having her biopic been done by a leading Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma.

2. Neetu David (141 wickets)

Next up on our list is slow left-arm orthodox spinner, Neetu David. She has played 97 matches for India in this format and has taken 141 wickets. She had a fantastic average of 16.34 and has had 2 fifers, under her belt.

David retired from this format in 2008, having made her debut way back in 1995 against New Zealand. She has also played 10 Test matches and has picked up 41 wickets.

3. Nooshin Al Khadeer (100 wickets)

42-year-old former cricketer of India, Nooshin Al Khadeer was a revolutionary bowler during her time. She has taken 100 wickets in this format so far and had a terrific economy of 3.57.

Al Khadeer played for 10 years for India and etched several records and had several achievements, up her sleeve.

4. Deepti Sharma (100 wickets)

The latest addition to this elite and prestigious list and the only one still active, Deepti Sharma can wreak havoc with the white-ball in the coming times for the Indian women’s cricket team.

Deepti Sharma has 100 wickets under her belt and has a good average of 29.47. She recently joined this club after taking the wicket of Phoebe Litchfield in the 2nd ODI between India and Australia.

Last year in February, she had reached the 100 T20I wickets club, when she was playing against West Indies.

5. Rajeshwari Gaikwad (99 wickets)

Another active cricketer, Rajeshwari Gaikwad is just 1 wicket away from entering into the 100-wicket club in Indian women’s cricket. She has bagged 99 wickets so far in 64 matches and is extremely skilful as a bowler.

With an average of 20.79, she can easily outfox and outsmart the opposition batters with her wily bowling.
