Australian ODI and Test skipper Pat Cummins has said that he is all set to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The speedster has said that he will be enrolling his name in the auction amidst the preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which will be taking place in West Indies and USA.

The 30-year-old cricketer last played a T20 game in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and had shifted his focus to the other formats of the game. As the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and the World Test Championship (WTC) was his main priority, he skipped the shorter format of the game.

“I feel like I haven’t played a heap of T20 cricket and in some ways I feel like I haven’t played my best T20 cricket for a little while. I’m really excited, I’m probably going to go into the IPL auction for next year to try to get some games before that World Cup and push a case to not only make the side but get back to how I feel like I can bowl in T20 cricket,” said Cummins.

Pat Cummins has previously played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL. In 42 IPL games, he has bagged 45 wickets and has scored 379 runs.
