Some of the most famous gamers in India took part in the cricket invitational tournament which was held by Red Bull. The Red Bull MEO Cricket Invitational took place on December 16, at 14:30 (IST) at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. The tournament witnessed some outstanding moments of cricketing action, with the gamers proving that they are experts not just in gaming but also in cricket. The tournament was broadcast live on Red Bull’s YouTube channel – Red Bull Game On, allowing spectators to see the action as it unfolded in its entirety and in real-time. Along with the two winners of the Red Bull MEO Season 5 WCC (World Cricket Championship), Rachakonda Sai Kumar and Ujjwal Sharma, 14 content creators participated in the Red Bull MEO Cricket Invitational.
Match Format
Ankit “V3nom” Panth was the captain of the Red team in this tournament. Ujjawal “Techno Gamerz” Chaurasia was the captain the Blue team. A total of 16 players competed in the tournament. A single-over duel between Sai Kumar and Ujjwal Sharma on WCC 3 was used to determine which team gets to choose whether to bat or bowl, which is an unconventional way of a toss.
