East Bengal FC have announced their squad for the upcoming Super Cup 2023 tournament that will be taking place in Kerala. After an underwhelming season in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23, East Bengal FC would be determined to have a change in their fortunes.
In a press release that was released by investor Emami a few weeks back, it mentioned that Head Coach Stephen Constantine’s last assignment as the gaffer in the Red and Gold Brigade will be the Super Cup 2023.
The iconic former Coach of India would be hoping to win the tournament and end his stint at East Bengal FC on a high.
Notably, the Red and Gold Brigade finished in the 9th position in ISL 2022-23 and managed to win 6 games. They lost 13 games, which was the highest ever registered by the club in a single season in top-flight football leagues.
The Red and Gold Brigade have a tough group as the likes of Odisha FC and Hyderabad FC are in it. Notably, they had lost both their games against these two opponents in ISL 2022-23.
Stephen Constantine has named a more or less same squad with no changes as such for the Super Cup 2023.
