UEFA Nations League Netherlands vs Italy

In the ongoing UEFA Nations League, Netherlands and Italy will be locking horns with each other in the 3rd-4th place match. The match will be taking at the De Grolsch Veste stadium in Enschede in Netherlands.

After losing their respective semi-finals, Netherlands and Italy will have one last shot at glory. A bronze medal in the UEFA Nations League would definitely be a big achievement.

While Netherlands lost 2-4 to Croatia, Spain outclassed Italy 2-1 in their semi-final. The summit clash will be played between Croatia and Spain on 19th June 2023.

Despite getting the lead in the semi-finals, the Dutch couldn’t hold on to it and ended up conceding goals against a dominant Croatian side. Donyell Malen and Noa Lang had scored the goals for Netherlands.

It was a heart-breaking moment for Netherlands as they went into full-time with a draw and then ended up conceding 2 goals in extra-time.

Italy on the other end looked good but couldn’t capitalise on their chances. Ciro Immobile had netted the goal for them through a penalty in the 11th minute.

This is a solid chance for both the teams to end the tournament on a high and bag honour and prestige in the UEFA Nations League.
