BGIS 2024

In a recent move, Krafton has banned four additional teams from participating in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 due to rules violations.

During the second round of the competition, which took place from May 9 to May 12, it was discovered that these four teams out of the 512 that participated in the first phase had utilized third-party software.

Beginning on May 16, 240 teams from the second round and 16 teams from the Grind will compete for 48 spots in the next round in the third round of this massive tournament.

This two-month event boasts a Rs. 2 crore prize pool, which means huge stakes and fierce competition.

Through its social media pages, Krafton declared that the four teams—U4G, Unique Destiny, ISO, and AlwaysnForever – would not be participating in the India Series 2024.

The business added that these teams employed unapproved software and mentioned that these teams each played six matches in round 2. The organizers did not, however, disclose the points and rankings from the prior round.

The management announced that the other teams in each group will receive an equal share of the points they have accrued.

This choice is in line with a trend of comparable measures used against teams who have been suspended for breaking rules in recent weeks.

On its official YouTube account, Krafton provides live streaming of certain groups’ matches in both Hindi and English. Several elite teams, including Medal, XSpark, Carnival, and WSB, competed in the BGIS 2024 second round.

These teams proceeded to the following round and appeared to be in excellent shape.

In the forthcoming third stage, numerous well-known lineups, including Entity, Orangutan, Hydra, and Mogo (ex-Gods Reign), will kick off their India Series campaigns.

They participated in the competition straight through the April Grind tournament.
