Indian cricket team has suffered a series of injuries on their tour to Australia. More than 5 players have got injured with one Test still to go before the commencement of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21. Now, Virender Sehwag, the former Indian opener has hilariously asked BCCI that he can travel to Australia if they are not able to form playing 11 for Brisbane Test.

India suffered the first setback of the tour as Ishant Sharma was ruled out from the series. Later on, Mohammed Shami’s forearm got fractured while batting in the 2nd inning of the Adelaide Test followed by the injuries of KL Rahul, Umesh Yadav. After the 3rd Test, BCCI informed that Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja will also not feature in the final Test due to the injuries they sustained in the Sydney game.

Virender Sehwag Ready To Play Against Australia

Bumrah is reported to have abdominal pain. On the other hand, the 32-year-old Indian all-rounder fractured his thumb while batting in Sydney. This all has set Team India on backfoot before the fourth and series-deciding affair that will be played at Australia’s fortress.

Virender Sehwag, who is known for his outspoken nature and hilarious statements, joked asking BCCI if he can play in Brisbane Test. The former opener also added that he will take care of quarantine as well. The Indian opener holds a good record batting in Australia and looked eager to take the field once again.

Sehwag took to his official Twitter handle and shared a post that read,” itne sab players injured hain , 11 na ho rahe hon toh Australia jaane ko taiyaar hoon, quarantine dekh lenge @BCCI.”

Leaving injuries aside, Team India has marked a strong comeback in the series coming from behind, They registered a convincing win in Melbourne followed by an extremely brilliant piece of performance in Sydney. There is no doubt over the fact that the momentum is currently with Team India and they have a big chance of winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 in a row to create a history.
