India suffers a big injury blow ahead of Brisbane Test. There premium pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out from the Test series due to abdominal strain. The visitors have already lost the services of their first-choice bowlers comprising of Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma. Now, Bumrah is the new one to join the injury list.

Bumrah is one of the best Indian pacers in modern-day cricket. He was having a great Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 and grabbed 11 wickets in three games. The Ahemdabad-born pacer was at his helm best against Australia in the last three games. On many occasions, he looked simply unplayable, and Aussie batters struggled in playing their strokes.

Jasprit Bumrah Ruled Out Of Australia Test Series

The Indian cricket board took to their official Twitter handle and informed cricket fans about the saddening news. They revealed that Jasprit Bumrah suffered abdominal strain during the Sydney Test. Now, he will not be available for the Brisbane Test. But, BCCI confirmed that he will play in the T20I, ODI, and Test series against England starting in the first week of February.

“Jasprit Bumrah suffered an abdominal strain while fielding in Sydney. He is going to sit out of the Brisbane Test but is expected to be available against England,” a BCCI source was quoted as saying in Outlook.

India has already lost the experienced quartet of Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Umesh Yadav. The injury trails have certainly weeken India’s bowling. The visitors have already handed over the maiden caps to Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj. Now, Shardul Thakur or T Natarajan will be tipped to make their debut in the final and crucial game of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21.

The 4th Test is scheduled to be played in Australia’s fort where they have won around 40 Tests. And, they will be the probable favorites to win the game. But, the way Team India played in Sydney was remarkable and they might surprise the hosts with another impressive performance.
