Arjun Tendulkar has been going through a lot, off-late. The son of former legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun has been getting mixed sort of responses from fans after his Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 debut for Mumbai Indians (MI).

The bowling all-rounder has made an impressive debut for MI and has so far bagged 3 wickets. In all the games he has played so far, Arjun Tendulkar has displayed courage, temperament, and a lot of dedication.

Former Australian speedster and current cricket pundit, Brett Lee has now hit out at the trolls, who have been trying to mock Arjun Tendulkar.

“My advice would be to keep doing what you have been doing and don’t listen to those people who are trying to have a go at him because remember most people who will criticize on social media have never bowled a ball in their life. They are keyboard warriors,” said Brett Lee as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Brett Lee also heaped praise on Tendulkar for his good swing and his ‘outstanding’ new-ball bowling.

“I think he can do all facets. The thing with Arjun Tendulkar is I have been super impressed. I feel he has been in wonderful fine form for the Mumbai Indians. His new-ball bowling is outstanding, he is swinging the ball, and he is getting the most swing out of the Mumbai Indians. He is well-suited for the middle overs and with the experience he will enjoy bowling at the death overs. I am all praise for him,” said Brett Lee.

Brett Lee extended his support to Arjun Tendulkar despite getting smashed for 31 runs in an over

“People criticize almost everything. He is only 23 years of age and he has got his whole career ahead of him. My advice will be don’t listen to critics. Like his dad had to go through like he misses out and gets a low score…you got to back yourself. He has got some wonderful skills,” said the former quick bowler.

In an over against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Arjun Tendulkar ended up leaking 31 runs. It was the joint-highest runs conceded by a bowler in IPL 2023. The other bowler was Yash Dayal of Gujarat Titans (GT) and he was taken to the cleaners by Rinku Singh of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Singh had smashed 5 sixes off 5 balls and literally snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for KKR. It was one of the most special and memorable knocks by a middle-order batter and that took the status of Rinku Singh from a decent batter to an outstanding batter.
