My long association with MI will not come in the way of doing my job for PBKS: Rahul Chahar

Punjab Kings leg-spinner Rahul Chahar is ready for the match against Punjab Kings. He said that his long association with the Mumbai-based franchise will not stop him from doing his job with the ball to the best of his abilities.

Punjab Kings is having a mixed season so far in IPL 2022. They have lost two and won two games out of their four outings. They are coming into the game after suffering a last-ball defeat against Gujarat Titans in which Rahul Tewatia smashed last ball six in order to snatch victory from the jaws of the Kings.

That defeat would have certainly given a huge setback to PBKS’s confidence and they will be eager to grab a win against out of form Mumbai Indians, who have not won a single game in this tournament.

In a recent interaction, Rahul Chahar said that he will try to give a match-winning performance against his former IPL franchise. As per him, he will go with a proper plan against the batsmen like Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma and others.

“I will definitely try to give my hundred percent as always. Mainly, there are two or three batters who are challenging to bowl against that I have my eye on. Suryakumar Yadav, for instance, is in great form. Rohit (Sharma), too, is a top batter,” Chahar said, indicating that he would be targeting two of MI’s mainstays.

“I am preparing well for them and looking forward to bowling to them. I am also making specific plans for all of these guys, let’s see how it goes,” Chahar added.

“From childhood, I have played against my brother. It doesn’t matter if he is in front of me or anybody else. My job is to make my team win, and I will do whatever it takes to get that result,” Chahar said.
