All the aforementioned players have already withdrawn from there the tour of Bangladesh and West Indies. And, this means that Aussie players will have their eyes set on the IPL that will be played in UAE. It will be a perfect platform for the players to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup that will begin few days after the final of the Indian Premier League.

In an interview, Aaron Finch said that it is going to be a hard situation for the players to pick IPL over international series. But, players will have to come up with something going ahead.

“This is only my personal opinion, I think they would find it hard to justify going back and playing that second half of the IPL purely based on the workload coming up with a T20 World Cup then a huge home summer. It’s a tough situation everyone has been put in but personally, I’d find it hard to do that knowing how challenging it is mentally and on your family.” ” Finch told SEN WA while speaking to Adam Gilchrist.

It is said that currently, BCCI is in constant discussion with ECB in order to let their players play in the 2nd half of the Indian Premier League 2021. However, the Indian Cricket Board has so far failed in getting a breakthrough. Also, it is expected that decisions over the availability of players will be taken by ECB in the mid of July.
